Grove Menzieshill Hockey Club

The Mens 2s play in Midland League Division 1.

Chris is a very experienced coach. He started with Grove Menzieshill as a player in the 1990s & 2000's. He then moved into coaching - starting with helping Gavin Byers with the Youth Programme and then coached the Ladies 3 for a season. The following year he went as assistant coach with the Ladies 1s to Munich for the European cup. Since then I have coached the Mens 3s indoor team, the Mens 5s development team, the U14s to runners up in the Outdoor Scottish Cup, the U16s to runners up in the Outdoor Scottish Cup and the U16s to Winners of the HPC Scottish Invitational Indoor tournament. He is currently coach the Mens 2s, the U16s and support Gav Byres with the Mens 1s. Chris has played Scottish Masters hockey for the last 8 years. Highlights were winning the Home Internationals at Over 40s, but also captaining the Scottish Over 45s to winning the European Cup, beating Holland and England on the way

Training is at Dawson on Tuesdays (8 - 9.30pm) and on Thursdays (6.30 - 8pm)
