Youth Hockey and Camps 1 of 7

1. Grove Youth Hockey

Grove Menzieshill welcome Juniors & Youths to come and train and play.

The Club has a Youth Development Officer who works with local primary schools as well as Grove Academy.

Players (boys & girls) are able to join from the age of 5 years old and if so desired, can follow a complete Player Pathway from beginner through to eventually playing in one of the Senior Teams.

Grove Menzieshill have U10, U12 & U14 Teams who start playing in the local Midland Youth Festivals which are run monthly with 8/side games against other local Youth Club teams. These Festivals are good fun and give players an opportunity to put into practice what they have learnt at training.

Youths (from age 12) move up to play 11 aside for the Clubs U16 & U18 teams in National competitions. And some will start playing in the Senior Teams/Development Teams from around age 13/14 years.

The Club works hard to develop all players to their full potential - whether a player wishes to be a good Club player or whether they have ambitions to play for Scotland or GB.

Scottish Hockey also has a Player Pathway with District Competitons (by age group) and via their Brave Academy. Grove Menzieshill coaches will support & put forward players for District & National Trials when players are ready.
